Making Our Communities Safer
Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home, their neighborhood, and their community. That means supporting law enforcement and first responders while addressing the root causes of crime, including addiction and untreated mental health. I support making sure the SAFE-T Act is implemented fairly, with public safety — not politics — as the top priority.
I’ll work to ensure violent offenders are held accountable, and communities are protected. Invest in local law enforcement, especially in departments that need better staffing or resources. Expanding addiction recovery programs, crisis response services, and mental health treatment. Partner with schools, churches, and nonprofits to prevent crime before it starts. Increase penalties for drug traffickers pushing dangerous narcotics like fentanyl.
We can be both tough and compassionate. We can support police and also help people recover. That’s how we begin moving forward — together.
